Skin Rejuvenation

Also known as a Photofacial (on the face only), simultaneously treats the three main elements of the skin, sun-damaged, environmentally-polluted and aging skin by coagulating blood vessels.

Skin facial treatments are suitable for the face, neck, chest and hands of most skin types and age groups. The treatments improve the appearance of several common issues, including sunspots, fine lines, enlarged pores, elastosis, mottled pigmentation, dyschromia, rosacea, broken capillaries and spider veins, among several others.

To improve the health and aesthetic of skin affected by age, sun exposure and environmental pollution, this system targets the issues from multiple angles in a balanced manner.  The process of replacing damaged collagen fibers with new ones under the skin, the skin is encouraged to heal itself. Through selective photothermolysis, the process in which necrosis is induced, pigmented and vascular lesions are eliminated. Finally, by applying low-energy and short-pulse broadband light, the technology replaces skin imperfections with a more youthful looking skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Treatments Permanent?

No and Yes.  Our skin is constantly aging, its life, we can not stop it.  However, after your initial series of sessions (recommended 3-6) you should come back once a year for a touch up.  Most clients prefer to do their touch ups in the winter, to help rid them of any over exposure they might have received during the summer months.  As long as you are mindful of your skin, always wearing the proper sun protection and keeping up with a normal skin care routine, the results will last (with annual touchups as stated before).  Keeping in mind any health changes, or physical changes (hormonal) can change our skin.

Are These Treatments Only Performed In The Winter?

Absolutely not!  You can have a Skin Rejuvenation/Photofacial any time of the year.  Now this being said, most clients do prefer to have their treatments in the colder months, as they get less UV exposure.  Regardless of the time of you, you still need to protect yourself from harmful UV Rays, using proper spf and clothing.

What To Expect?

With these treatments you feel a slight stinging or "snaps" during pulses of the laser handpiece.  This should not create any pain at all, most clients are just usually surprised by the sensation than in pain.  Brown spots will go Darker after treatment, but will start to fade within the next two weeks.  Redness can do darker and sometimes a bit purple immediately after treatment will lessen within 2-24 hours.  It can take up to 4 weeks to see the original redness improve.
